As all the BiS members taking part in the camp were under a probation period at the time, their performance in the camp affected their futures in BiS; if they were eliminated from the audition, they would also be removed from BiS.

On the day before the audition, spontaneous "last chance" interviews were held by Watanabe. Out of 100 people who appeared at the interview, only 5 were chosen to participate in the audition camp.

The events of the audition were the basis for the 2019 documentary IDOL -Aa, Mujou-.
