Terashima Yufu (テラシマユフ, real name: 寺嶋由芙) is a Japanese idol. She was a first-generation member of BiS from 2011 to 2013, and became a soloist after leaving the group. She is also a member of Charat.

2011[]

Terashima Yufu started her entertainment career in early 2011. Her first recording was on the track "Tsudere Syndrome", from the compilation album "Ultimate!! Girls Revolution1", released on April 4th.

On July 9th 2011, a day after her 20th birthday, Terashima Yufu was announced as a member of BiS, replacing Yokoyama Rina who had withdrawn a couple of months prior. As BiS was still promoting My Ixxx at the time, Terashima was added into much of the promotional material, despite not actually contributing on the single.

On October 19th, Terashima Yufu's first single as part of BiS, nerve, was released.

2012[]

Terashima Yufu's first studio album as part of BiS, IDOL is DEAD, was released on October 10th. The same day, the anime Backstage idol story began airing, in which Yufu voiced herself.

On October 20th, a movie starring Terashima and other members of BiS, Idol Is Dead, was released.

2013[]

Terashima Yufu's final single with BiS, BiSimulation, was released on March 13th.

On April 12th, Terashima Yufu announced her graduation from BiS. The official reason given was that she was "too serious" to be in BiS, but, like Nakayama Yukiko, it was believed that the actual reason was due to frequent arguments with Pour Lui over the group's increasingly extreme behaviour. Her final performance took place on May 26th.

After her departure from BiS, Terashima Yufu took part in Miss iD 2014, where she ranked 4th and won the Amaterasu Special Award. Through Miss iD, she was able to find support to begin her solo career on the major label Universal Music.

2014[]

On January 22nd, Terashima Yufu appeared in the track "It's a Small World", from Disney Rocks!!! Girl's Power!, credited as A Fairy Mutes Uh. Her former group BiS also appeared on the same album.

Terashima Yufu's first solo single, #Yuflight, was released on Feburary 26th.

On May 31st, Terashima formed the one-off unit Yufu♬Mari with Dorothy Little Happy member Takahashi Mari. They had previously worked together on the BiS & Dorothy Little Happy collaborative single GET YOU.

Yufu♬Mari's single, HOTARU, was released on July 2nd.

On August 1st, Terashima's first EP, Suki ga Hajimaru was released.

Terashima Yufu's second solo single, Campanula no Yuutsu, was released on August 6th.

Terashima's second EP, Suki ga Hajimaru II, was released on December 9th.

On December 17th, Terashima Yufu released her third single, Neko ni Naritai!

2015[]

On February 8th, Terashima Yufu formed a one-off collaborative unit with the band, Phenotas, named, Yuffytas. Their only single, Kimi ga Waraeba Koi Nano Desu, was released on the 25th of the same month.

Yufu released her fourth single, Fuhehehehehehehe Dai Sakusen, on May 20th, after switching labels from Universal to Teichiku Entertainment.

Terashima Yufu's fifth single, Iyahaya Feeling, was released on November 11th. Unlike her other solo releases, this was released under the name "Terashima Yufu with Yuruffies", Yuruffies being the name of her mascot character back-up dancers.

2016[]

Terashima Yufu signed with the agency, Dear Stage, on June 1st.

On September 21st, Terashima released her first full-length studio album, Watashi ni Naru.

2017[]

Terashima Yufu released her sixth single, Tenshi no Telepathy on March 22nd.

On July 12th, Terashima released her seventh single, Watashi wo Ryokou ni Tsuretette.

Terashima's eighth single, Shiranai Dareka ni Dakarete mo Ii, was released on November 8th.

2018[]

Terashima Yufu's second studio album, Kimi ga Chiru, was released on April 25th. Leading up to its release, the track Senaka no Kiss was released on Valentine's Day.

On October 17th, Terashima released her ninth solo single, Kimi ni Toropitaina

2019[]

2019 marked Terashima Yufu's fifth anniversary as a soloist. To commemorate this milestone, She opened a second YouTube channel containing the full-length versions of all of her previous music videos on February 26th. Until then, only shortened versions of the videos were posted to YouTube.

On April 17th, Terashima Yufu released her tenth single, Ii Onna wo Yoroshiku. The single commemorated her fifth anniversary and was released with a special edition Blu-ray containing all of her music videos to date.

On September 19th, Terashima's eleventh solo single, Koi no Daisankaku Kankei, was released.

2020[]

Terashima Yufu released her twelfth single, #Yuflight II, on February 26th. The music video featured her visiting various people who had inspired her throughout her life and career. It received a digital pre-release in January, on the day of its announcement.

On March 13th, Terashima Yufu formed Charat, being its sole female member. The purpose of the group was to create music for mascot characters, one of Terashima's biggest passions.

On April 3rd, Terashima Yufu joined the idol unit simpαtix, as both a member and producer. Upon the announcement of her joining, Terashima stated that she would still continue to release solo material.

Terashima Yufu appeared in the smartphone app "Aikoi Note", a gacha-based rhythm game that simulates dating real-life idols. The game was released on April 27th.

Simpαtix's debut single, Itai Amai Kiss / Suki, Ima Aitai, was released on May 27th.

On July 30th, Tershima Yufu announced that her contract with Dear Stage had expired, and that her birthday event held on July 11th would also serve as her graduation ceremony from the company. Terashima would continue to work under Teichiku Entertainment under a new structure.

Charat's first EP, One Charat was released on July 26th.

On October 31st, Terashima Yufu released a concert blu-ray of her 2020 birthday event, Terashima Yufu Seitan Live ni 〇 ni 〇 da Daifuku-sai. That same day, she announced a new single, Minna Maigo / Atarashii Watashi, released on December 16th.

Just a few days after the release of Minna Maigo / Atarashii Watashi, Terashima Yufu released her first "artist" book, Majime.

2021[]

Terashima Yufu released her third studio album, Survival Lady, on June 30th. Ahead of its release, the song Karinui no Dress was published as a digital single in advance.

On October 13th, Yufu will released her second solo Blu-ray, Terashima Yufu Seitan Live 2021 LIVE Blu-ray ~Monomiyusan & Kouki Tourai~.

2022[]

Terashima Yufu collaborated with the Sanrio character, Pompompurin, in March, after having referred to herself as a "Pompompurin lover" through most of her career. The single, Love*Song, was released on the 16th.

On June 15th, Yufu released a blu-ray release of her 8th anniversary live, Terashima Yufu Debut 8 Shuunenkinen Live Blu-Ray "#Suehirogari no Yuffie" at Asakusa Kokaido.

Yufu's 15th solo single, Koi no Atoaji, was released on December 14th.

2023[]

Terashima Yufu's 16th solo single, Daiuchuu no Mugen Ai, was released on August 30th. The single was produced by famous producer Tsunku, who is known among the idol community for his work with Hello! Project.

  • She dreamed to become an idol from childhood, when she was a big fan of Morning Musume.
  • Pandas are her favourite animal
  • Her favourite colour is pink. However, her BiS member colour was blue, and it remained her image colour through her solo career.
  • Didn't get along with Pour Lui while a member of BiS, and doesn't like to acknowledge her experience in the group. However, she has very occasionally performed Taiyou no Jumon at her solo lives.
  • Loves mascot characters and frequently uses them in her performances.
  • On July 8th 2014 she received the best birthday present she could possibly wish for when BiS finally disbanded.
    • Two years later, she received the worst birthday present she could possibly imagine when BiS reformed.
