Naguriai (ナグリアイ; literally "fist fight") are a Japanese idol group formed in 2011. The first three members met as BiS fans at the group's live shows, and were encouraged by BiS members to form a group together - Nakayama Yukiko herself gave them the name "Naguriai", and so Naguriai were considered an "officially recognized BiS sister group", appearing as opening acts for multiple BiS shows.
The group became inactive in 2017, though the remaining two members still occasionally reform for performances as of 2022.

History[]
The original line-up is said to have consisted of BiS fans who met through attending their live shows, including Mayuposo and Acha and later, Ikunon. Formed through the encouragement of the BiS members themselves, Naguriai initially had no real intention of becoming a serious idol group, and mainly produced dance cover videos and pictures in tribute to BiS as a hobby (some of which were taken by Tanaka Koji, the producer of BELLRING Girls Heart and the director of BiS' "Paprika" MV).
However, on February 2nd, 2012, BiS were unable to appear on their regularly scheduled Shimokita FM show due to filming for Idol Is Dead (Movie), so asked Naguriai to take their place. The group's self-described "poor" performance, broadcast both on radio and on video streaming site Ustream, unexpectedly gained them a lot of attention and they began to receive offers to perform elsewhere.
Later that year, they held two-man concerts with BELLRING Girls Heart and KGY40Jr., and a new member, Chida, joined the group. Kawacha Papa, the producer of KGY40Jr., provided Naguriai with their first original song "A A A mo IDOL".
In 2013, the manager of the Shinjuku branch of Tower Records offered Naguriai the opportunity to perform in the store on the condition that they release a professionally-distributed CD. The group successfully crowd-funded the September 6th release of Naguriai, an album containing 9 of their original songs, one remix and a cover of BiS' "Give me your love Zenbu". A month later, Ikunon and Chida both graduated from the group.
Following the disbandment of the original BiS, Naguriai still performed covers of their songs at small-scale live events from time to time as a duo. Although they have not officially disbanded, their last known performance was in 2017.
On June 11th, 2022, Naguriai performed live for the first time in around five years[1], The line-up consisted of the final duo, Mayuposo and Acha.

Trivia[]
- Naguriai's song "nerveless" is an "answer song" to nerve, with the lyrics and arrangement bearing a strong similarity to the original. Coincidentally, this style of self-referential songs would later become common throughout WACK.
