As a member of Genesis
Madara (斑) is a Japanese rapper and idol. He is also a competitor in the WACK Men's Joint Audition 2022, under the name, T.O.P.P.O.
Prior to his involvement in WACK, Madara was briefly a member of the male idol group Genesis, and released solo material.
After his involvement in the WACK Men's audition, Madara was a member of the idol group, ΣVOL, from June 2022 to May 2023.
Biography[]
2021[]
Madara's earliest known activity was as part of a collaboration with fellow musician, Eimu, in early 2021. The pair released one digital single together, Neon (Remix), on March 13th.
Madara joined the male idol group, Genesis, on May 21st, 2021. Just two weeks later, he released his first solo digital single, Rock'n'Roll. It was followed by a second digital single, MADARA, on July 5th. Genesis ultimately disbanded on October 4th, with Madara having not participated in any music releases with the unit.
2022[]
In early 2022, Madara applied for the first WACK Men's Joint Audition, and was accepted to the boot camp stage. On February 18th, prior to the start of the WACK camp, Madara, now using the name, T.O.P.P.O., was revealed along with the other male contestants.
The camp officially took place between February 22nd and 27th. While he was able to stay through the entirety of the camp, he was ultimately not selected to join a group.
On June 11th, Madara was unveiled as a member of the boy group, ΣVOL. His debut release with the group was the album, EVOLVE, released on July 17th.
2023[]
Madara announced his graduation from ΣVOL on April 5th, 2023. His final performance took place on May 22nd.
