Human, previously known as youth, are a Japanese band, who competed as part of the BRAND-NEW BAND STORY competition. They were initially formed sometime around 2018. They changed to their current name in October 2023.

History[]
It is unknown exactly when youth were formed, however, their Twitter account originally opened in September 2018.
On June 26th, 2020, youth's debut single, Hajimari no Uta, was released exclusively at select Tower Records stores.
Youth released their first digital single, Haikei, Boku. on December 21st, 2020.
On July 24th, youth's bassist, Juu, left the band. Shortly after, MASAHIRO joined as their support.
Youth released their first mini-album, from U, on September 22nd, 2021.
During the summer of 2022, Marude Tora, Saredo Neko auditioned for the BRAND-NEW BAND STORY competition, and were announced as one of the first four finalists on July 1st. As part of the audition, they participated in a live performance to judge their skills on July 10th.
During the ROAD TO BRAND-NEW BAND STORY performance, it was announced that youth were one of four groups selected to progress to the final round.
As part of the final judging for BRAND-NEW BAND STORY, youth participated in a training camp taking place from July 19th to 21st.
On October 21st, it was announced that youth had not won BRAND-NEW BAND STORY.
2023[]
On October 14th, youth announced that Minami Haruya, who had been a supporting member to this point, would join the band permanently. To reflect the line-up change, youth changed their name to human.
Human's second mini-album, and first under their new name, Bottle Mail, will be released on December 6th.
