First Summer Uika (ファーストサマーウイカ), real name Dojima Uika (堂島初夏), is a Japanese singer, actress and TV and radio personality.

She was a 1st Generation member of BiS from 2013 to 2014, and afterward, a founding member of BILLIE IDLE®︎ from 2014 to 2019.

2013[]

On May 26th, First Summer Uika joined BiS alongside Tentenko and Kamiya Saki.

First Summa Uika's first single with BiS, DiE, was released on June 26th.

2014[]

On February 2nd, BiS officially announced that they would disband in July.

First Summer Uika's only studio album as a member of BiS, WHO KiLLED IDOL?, was released on March 5th.

First Summer Uika's final single as part of BiS, FiNAL DANCE / nerve, was released May 28th.

On July 8th, BiS disbanded at Yokohama Arena. During their final show, First Summer Uika announced she and Hirano Nozomi would form a new unit together, BILLIE IDLE®︎.

On October 15th, Uika starred in the short film "Kazumi Of The Moonquake".

2015[]

BILLIE IDLE®︎ officially debuted on January 14th.

First Summer Uika's first release as a member of BILLIE IDLE®︎ was the digital single, Anarchy in the music scene, on March 2nd.

On April 1st, BILLIE IDLE®︎'s first album, IDLE GOSSIP, was released.

2017[]

On December 15th, First Summer Uika and BILLIE IDLE®︎ groupmate Momose Momo provided guest vocals for the N.E.R.D track "Secret Life Of Tigers".

2018[]

Starting on April 1st, First Summer Uika began appearing in commercials for the Mizkan brand of soups. She also frequently appeared in BYS videos with her BILLIE IDLE®︎ and former BiS groupmates.

From October 12th, First Summer Uika began appearing in commercials for the Mizkan brand of soups.

2019[]

From May 9th, First Summer Uika began hosting a radio show on Tokyo FM, "DIG GIG TOKYO!".

Starting from July 19th, Uika was cast in the lead role for television drama "Samurai no Yui". Later in 2019, Uika was also chosen for a voice role in the Japanese dub of "Jumanji", and attended the premiere in the USA.

On October 16th, BILLIE IDLE®︎ announced that they would disband at the end of the year.

On October 21st, BILLIE IDLE®︎ released their final single, LAST ORGY.

BILLIE IDLE®︎ disbanded on December 28th, 2019, after which First Summer Uika continued to make frequent media appearances as a talent.

2020[]

From March 30th, Uika became a regular featured host for the radio show "All Night Nippon 0", of which she had already been making frequent guest appearances on beforehand.

In August, Uika modelled for the Wacoal lingerie brand, promoting their "Airy Bra" line.

2021[]

In early 2021, reports surfaced claiming that First Summer Uika had signed with Universal Music and was planning to revive her singing career as a soloist. On January 11th, Uika launched her solo website and announced the release of her first digital single, Chameleon, scheduled for a February 22nd release.

On February 10th, First Summer Uika collaborated with MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN on the track, LOVE CHiKYU feat. First Summer Uika, marking the first time that she had been involved with WACK since Watanabe stopped producing BILLIE IDLE®︎ in 2018.

From April to May 2021, First Summer Uika performed in the stage play, "Chameleon's Lip".

To commemorate her 31st birthday on June 4th, Uika released three simultaneous new songs, collated in the digital single, Kaeri Hana no Orion. In late June, Uika appeared in commercials for Pepsi.

In late July, Uika was cast in the Japanese dub of The Suicide Squad, as Sol Soria. The following month, she was also cast in the NTV drama, "Bank Over!".

2022[]

On January 24th, First Summer Uika announced that she had contracted coronavirus and would need to take a break from activities. She reassured fans that she was feeling fine, and apologized for her cancelled appearances. She resumed activities two weeks later.

In April, Uika starred in the lead role of TV drama, "Watashi no Elegance". In addition, she sings the show's theme song, Open the Door, which was released as a digital single on April 2nd.

2023[]

On November 11th, First Summer Uika performed with her ex-BiS groupmate Kamiya Saki on the TV show "Osaka Melody", marking the first time the two had performed together since 2014. She was also cast as "Akame" for Like a Dragon: Gaiden a game in the Yakuza/Like A Dragon series.

On January 1st, 2020, Uika revealed in a handwritten notice that she has been married since 2015.
