Coshoji Megumi (古正寺恵巳; コショージ メグミ), also romanised as Koshouji Megumi, is a Japanese singer, poet and DJ. She was a first-generation member of BiS, and the former founder and leader of Maison book girl. She is currently a member of MAPA.

Biography[]

2013[]

Coshoji Megumi joined BiS on November 19th, after having previously been a fan of the group.

2014[]

Megumi's debut single, STUPiG, was released January 22nd.

Just a couple of months after her initiation, BiS announced they would disband on July 8th.

Coshoji Megumi's only studio album with BiS, WHO KiLLED IDOL?, was released on March 5th.

On July 8th, during BiS' disbandment live, Coshoji Megumi announced that she would form a new unit, Book house girl, with former Izukoneko producer Sakurai Kenta (Izukoneko herself would form pla2me with Megumi's BiS groupmate Kamiya Saki the same day).

After the remaining members were announced, Book house girl changed their name to Maison book girl on November 5th.

2015[]

On January 16th, Coshoji Megumi released a self-titled book of poetry. This release would kick-start an ongong trend where readings of Megumi's poems would be included on Maison book girl's singles and albums.

Coshoji Megumi's debut releases with Maison book girl, white and black, were released on March 11th.

Megumi's debut album with Maison book girl, bath room, was released on September 23rd.

During her birthday event on September 28th, Coshoji Megumi released an untitled CD-R album containing recordings of herself singing Sacchan no Sexy Curry.

2016-2021[]

On December 14th, 2016, Coshoji Megumi appeared as a guest vocalist on Gomess' album, "Joukei -Kohen-" on the track "Saigo no Hi"

From April 2018, Megumi started making frequent appearances on BYS alongside other first-generation BiS members.

On March 20th, 2019, Megumi was the voice of a major role in episode 11 of the Rinshi! Ekoda-chan anime series.

In March 2021, Coshoji Megumi collaborated with the coffee company, OKCoffee, and released her own special blend of coffee beans[1].

Maison book girl disbanded on May 30th, after which, Coshoji Megumi took a break from activities.

On September 25th, Coshoji Megumi announced that she would be joining a new unit, MAPA, and also began using kanji for her stage name. MAPA officially debuted at Tokyo Idol Festival on October 2nd. The following day, Megumi made a special guest appearance at MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN No Shissou alongside former BiS groupmates Pour Lui and Kamiya Saki.

Megumi's debut album with MAPA, Shitteno, was released on November 9th.

From November 18th to 30th, Koshouji appeared as a special guest at the We are BZ tour, a joint tour between her former group, BiS, and MAPA's sister group, ZOC.

2022[]

Coshoji Megumi's debut single with MAPA, Kirin♡Time / Satie, will be released on May 25th.
