History[edit | edit source]

Charat was first unveiled on March 13th, 2020, as a group that would write, sing and choreograph songs for Yuru-Chara and local mascots. It was initially formed by Terashima Yufu and folk musician Kanzaki Takahiro, both noted yuru-chara enthusiasts. They then invited BOYS END SWING GIRL vocalist Tomizuka Daichi as their lyricist.

On March 22nd, Charat unveiled their first song, "Isshou Inukai", for Izumisano's local mascot, Inunakin.

Charat's second original song, "Warau Tsuno ni wa Neko Kitaru" was unveiled on June 24th. This song was written for Kotoine-san, a mascot for Mukohime prefecture.

Charat announced their debut EP, One Charat, on June 28th. It was released on July 26th and contained five tracks.
