BiTE A SHOCK are a Japanese idol group formed in July 2023. They were formed as an official successor unit to BiSH, who disbanded on June 29th, 2023.
The group was formed through the BiSH THE NEXT audition camp, and signed to BiSH Co., Ltd., a WACK subsidiary founded by the current BiSH members. They are the first WACK unit to have a co-ed line-up, consisting of both male and female members.

History[]
In preparation for their June disbandment, active members of BiSH formed the company, BiSH Co. Ltd in early 2023. While the company's formation was revealed at their free event, BiSH Kaisan Party Chuuyasai on January 7th, no further details on its purpose were given until February 8th, where it was announced that the company had been founded by BiSH's members in order to create "the next BiSH".
The same day, a televised announcement was broadcast through NTV's "Sukkiri" program; an audition to find BiSH's successors, named BiSH THE NEXT would begin effective immediately, concluding with a training camp sometime after March. There were no limits on who could apply for the group, other than that they could speak Japanese.
By the time of BiSH's disbandment, the applicants had been narrowed down to 12 finalists, 6 of which would be chosen to form the group's final line-up. Throughout May and June, these finalists released four digital singles (two variants of Patient!! and THE NEXT).
On June 24th, the unit's name was unveiled as "BiTE A SHOCK". The final line-up will be revealed on July 1st, with their first TV Performance on same day and debut live occurring just 17 days later.
On August 16th, BiTE A SHOCK released their digital single, Tokonatsu Planet.
BiTE A SHOCK's fourth digital single, CANOPUS, was released on November 8th. They released their first mini-album on December 20th, named SHOCKERS.
