Aranami (アラナミ) are a Japanese band who competed in the BRAND-NEW BAND STORY competition. They were formed in 2019.

History[]
2019-2020[]
Aranami were formed sometime in 2019.
On May 27th, 2020, Aranami released their first digital single, Jinsei.
2021[]
Aranami's second digital single, Sakura Zensen, was released on May 20th, 2021.
On June 23rd, Aranami released a second digital single, To The Future. Just five days later, Miura Kanan left the group. Afterwards, the band continued with support guitarists, before ultimately going on hiatus in October 2021.
2022[]
Aranami announced the resumption of activities on January 10th, 2022, with new members Kato Tokiu and Sato Ryuya. In between their hiatus, their previous drummer had seemingly left the band.
Aranami's debut single, Time Capsule, was released on March 2nd.
On April 17th, Aranami revealed a new support guitarist, yuki, with Ryuya leaving on April 23rd. Yuki's membership was formally announced on May 11th.
During the summer of 2022, Aranami auditioned for the BRAND-NEW BAND STORY competition, and were announced as one of the finalists on July 5th. As part of the audition, they participated in a live performance to judge their skills on July 10th.
During the ROAD TO BRAND-NEW BAND STORY performance, Aranami were revealed to have won the popular voting stage, and would progress to the final round.
As part of the final judging for BRAND-NEW BAND STORY, Aranami participated in a training camp taking place from July 19th to 21st.
On October 21st, it was announced that Aranami had not won the BRAND-NEW BAND STORY competition.
2023[]
Aranami's second single, Akashi / Urei, was released on January 30th, 2023. It was followed by Himawari on August 22nd.
