Ainastar (アイナスター) is a Japanese idol under WACK, as a member of GANG PARADE and KiSS KiSS formerly, WAgg. She joined the latter in February 2020, and was promoted in March 2022. She joined KiSS KiSS on March 25, 2023.

Biography[]

Ainastar was revealed as a new member of WAgg alongside Kila May on February 8th, 2020, after auditioning for the unit in late 2019.

Ainastar's debut oneman live took place on February 11th.

From March 22nd, Ainastar participated in the WACK AUDiTiON CAMP 2020, but was eliminated on day 3 for failing to do the most squats.

On June 12th, Ainastar's first release, WAgg no Subarashiki Sekai, was published.

From October 10th, Ainastar participated in the PARADISES no Subarashiki Mirai audition. As part of the audition, she featured on their digital single, PLEASE LISTEN TO MY.

After ranking first place following a PARADISES no Subarashiki Mirai performance screening, Ainastar was announced to participate on three tracks in an upcoming PARADISES EP, Special Xmas Songs + XXX.

Despite ranking first place in the previous screening, at the following performance on December 13th, Ainastar was ultimately eliminated from the PARADISES no Subarashiki Mirai audition after failing to earn all four types of stars needed to progress and ranking last place in award categories several times in a row. Ainastar was offered a second chance, as the following day the single, WAgg to PARADISES no Subarashiki Sekai to Mirai, was released in individual member versions with a promise that any eliminated WAgg could return to the audition if their version sold the most copies. However, Ainastar's solo version of the single only ranked second in sales, and as such, she remained eliminated from the audition. Despite this, she still featured heavily on Special Xmas Songs + XXX, released ten days after her elimination.

2021[]

From March 21st to 27th, Ainastar competed in the WACK AUDiTiON CAMP 2021. While she completed all seven days of the camp, she was not chosen to debut. Instead, she was forced to change her stage name to "Unkostar" for one month. She changed it back on May 1st.

In mid-May, a story written by Ainastar and Lingling during the AUDiTiON CAMP, Shi(mo)motarou, was published as a picture book.

On June 4th, WAgg announced that Ainastar would immediately be going on hiatus, in order to devote her time to studying for school. Later that month, she was placed in the shuffle unit, Dogenzaka43, despite having already started her hiatus at the time. Her only release with the unit, Kyouniku Jakushoku ~Tsuyoi Yatsura wo Kucchimae~, was released on June 16th.

After a six-month break, WAgg announced an end to Ainastar's hiatus on December 11th, with her comeback set for the following month.

2022[]

Ainastar resumed activities with WAgg on January 10th.

From March 20th, Ainastar participated in the WACK AUDiTiON CAMP 2022, in her third attempt at the audition camps. At the end of the camp on March 26th, it was announced that she had been promoted to GANG PARADE alongside Potential, and she consequently graduated from WAgg on April 3rd.

Ainastar's debut performance with GANG PARADE was originally scheduled to take place on May 13th, however, when several members caught coronavirus, it was postponed to at least the 21st.

Ainastar's first release with GANG PARADE, the digital rerecording compilation, WELCOME TO GANG PARADE, was released on May 24th. Her debut single with GANG PARADE, SIGNAL, was released on July 13th.

2023[]

On March 25th, Ainastar was announced as a member of KiSS KiSS. She will also remain as a member of GANG PARADE.

Personal Life[]

In early November 2022, tabloids attempted to bring about a dating scandal between Ainastar and a man she was seen in public with. However, as WACK does not enforce a dating ban, and GANG PARADE literally sent one of its other members to compete on a dating show before then, there were ultimately no consequences nor acknowledgement.

Trivia[]

    • As a reference to this nickname, Ainastar's member colour in GANG PARADE is officially referred to as "Nasu" by members and on goods. However, while eggplants are typically coloured a very dark purple, Ainastar's "Nasu" colour is actually a lighter pastel purple shade.
  • Is the final WAgg to be promoted, and the only member at the time of the release of WAgg no Subarashiki Sekai who is still part of WACK.
  • Is the only KiSS KiSS member who gave herself a set member role as part of her self introduction.
